Squarespace Named #3 Best Medium Place to Work by Fortune Magazine September 18 2014

After already having been acknowledged as one of New York City's best places to work for two consecutive years, we are honored to be officially recognized as the #3 Best Place to Work in the U.S. in the annual Best Small & Medium Workplaces list, published in Fortune Magazine.

For us, this award is a welcome validation of the path we set out on to creating a company with strong ideals and values that help us empower our team members, pursue long-term ideas. and create beautiful tools that help give your ideas a voice on the web.

Over the past twelve months, we’ve grown our team from 170 to 375 highly-skilled individuals. We’ve also opened a new office in Portland, our third after New York and Dublin. Conserving and scaling our culture as we grow at a rapid pace has been a real challenge, but we’ve faced up to the task with the support of our team members. We’d especially like to thank our team for the passion and joy they bring to work every day.

We’re always on the lookout for great talent here at Squarespace. If you’re interested in joining the team, please check out our current open positions at www.squarespace.com/careers. We look forward to hearing from you!

Cheers to One Year July 16 2014

One year ago today, we opened our first international office in Dublin, Ireland. We’ve come a long way since then.

Squarespace has active customers in 190 countries, and these international customers represent 30% of our installed base. With more and more members joining us from across the globe, we’ve been focused on building a multilingual team in Dublin to take care of them. Not only that, our Dublin team currently handles 20% of all of our support requests – no small feat considering we receive tens of thousands of email tickets and live chats per week.

Today, Squarespace Dublin has 60 team members, and is growing rapidly with career opportunities for French, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian speakers. Check out our job listings if you’re interested in becoming the newest addition to our talented team.

Thank you for a wonderful year. Follow our Instagram account for photos from tonight’s anniversary festivities. Who knows? Maybe the Taoiseach will show up!

Sláinte!

Introducing Squarespace Portland June 16 2014

Our Customer Care Team is nearly 200 strong – and growing – in New York and Dublin. We're thrilled to announce the opening of Squarespace’s third office in Portland, Oregon, helping to ensure that we continue to provide you the best 24/7 service possible.

Portland was an easy choice. We needed a Pacific time zone location, wanted a 24-hour city with plenty of transportation options, and sought out a diverse and well-educated population with a wide variety of creative interests. Our PDX operation is now up and running with 22 local hires and 7 members of our New York team that have permanently relocated and bring with them the culture and values that make Squarespace special.

We will be growing the team here throughout the remainder of 2014 and through next year. If you or a friend would like to join our amazing team, please send us your resume today.

Here’s to starting every day with a ridiculous donut and double shot of caffeine! We look forward to making PDX our home and becoming an active member of the local tech community.

Squarespace x Colossal Media May 02 2014

Last October, we partnered with Colossal Media for an interactive billboard in downtown New York City, creating an evolving series of murals that echoed our Create Your Own Space campaign. Colossal Media is the largest handpainted mural and outdoor advertising company in the world, creating large-scale photorealistic murals, art projects, ad campaigns, and more in New York and beyond.

Check out this video showing the progression of the murals, which lived for two months at the intersection of Prince and Lafayette Streets in SoHo:
