Squarespace x Bandsintown July 17 2014
Our commitment to artistry has always driven us to provide a platform that allows our customers to bring their creative passions to a wider audience. That’s especially the case for the music community; in the last few months, we launched audio collections and partnered with The Wild Honey Pie, Celebrate Brooklyn, Heartbreaker Banquet, Newport Folk Festival, and many more.
We’re pleased to introduce a new partnership with Bandsintown that will further push the boundaries in bringing artists and audiences together. Starting today, you can add a Bandsintown Block to your Squarespace website to seamlessly display your tour dates; any changes or updates you make to your tour schedule will instantly appear. It’s also worth noting that you can add any band’s tour schedule to your site; simply enter the artist’s name and set the date range to display the tour information on a page or blog post.
Additionally, the Bandsintown Manager app – made free for users on iOS and Android by our partnership – now helps musicians turn their tour dates into interactive Facebook events that are synced with websites, blogs, Twitter, and other social media sites. Fans will never miss another show, and artists will avoid wasting valuable time promoting their tour across individual platforms. With 40% of concert tickets going unsold because of insufficient publicity, Bandsintown Manager will change the way musicians engage with their fans, and making it absolutely free of charge reflects our dedication to making smart technology accessible to anyone.
We hope this partnership can help you reach your audience in a meaningful, more efficient way. We look forward to hearing your feedback – send us a tweet @squarespace!
